No to Guantanamo Bay

The Federal Government has rejected two requests from the United States for Australia to take Guantanamo Bay detainees.

The Government last night rejected a second request from the Bush Administration to resettle a group of detainees.

An initial request was made in early 2008 and was also rejected due to detainees failed to pass immigration tests.
